Manje with Manjoh Foods! |
Manjoh Foods started in the
year 2000 where maize meal was milled on a small scale. ±200 tons of samp
was milled for a company called Jabula Foods (used to manufacture corn
starch) and ±40 tons of maize meal.
In 2001 we upgraded from ±300 Kgs/hr to a 1.25 tons/hr plant with only one
Turner TE 1957 model roller stand.
In September 2002 we yet again upgraded the mill by installing a Z1984
roll stand and a pneumatic system for conveying our final product,
increasing production to ±3.5 tons/hr of final product.
In 2001 we built a dry bean cleaning plant, which can clean ±15 tons of
beans per day, with silos which have a capacity of ±600 tons.
In the year 2002 we erected two silos plus maize handling equipment on the
premises, with the holding capacities of the two maize silos being ±3500
tons each.
In 2003 we invested in packaging machines. For beans and samp packing and
a Fawema machine for small packages of maize meal.
Manjoh Ranch plants ±1800 Ha of maize and 600 Ha of dry beans where we
also harvest ±9000 tons of white maize.
